Description

This course will provide students with an opportunity to develop a basic understanding of the nature and cause of human diseases, disabilities and death, and the educational interventions to prevent or control them. An epidemiologic approach will be used to study selected diseases/conditions. Common infestious diseases (influenza, pneumonia, HIV, STD's, hepatitis, cancer, stroke, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, arthritis, osteoporosis) will be explored.
