Description
This course will explore the themes of identity and scientific exploration through outdoor recreation. From their inception, the National Parks have been a playground for America as well as a place to experience beauty and adventure outside of everyday "city" life. For this reason, they have fascinated poets, artists, adventurers, and conservationists alike. Learn more about this system, its founders, as well as your place in it and how you can contribute to the conservation of the parks for future generations. Also, have the option to travel to park sites in South Carolina. Student must have reliable transportation during May term for day trips.
