Description

Introduction to fishing, rules and regulations. Basic skills such as rods, reels, line, lures, casting, reading waterr, understanding behavior of certain fish species, understanding of topological maps of local lakes and the rules and regulations by SCDNR. Lake and river dynamics and finding fish will be discussed. The course will have two componeents, including a guided trip to the ocean and fly fishing. Travel to lakes, rivers, the ocean and local fisheries is required. No previous fishing knowledge is required. Class is limited to 10 students. SC Fishing License is required. Class Fee $500 due by March 1st and nonrefundable after April 1st. Any student who does not pay the course fee by March 1st will be dropped out of the class. Class fee covers Fishing equipment, Foo, Saltwater guided fishing Trip, and lodging.
Meeting times
First week: Two full days (Tuesday and Thursday) Full day 8-5pm
Second Week: Two full days (Monday - Tuesday) (or Tuesday-Wednesday). Overnight
