  • Certification of graduation from an approved secondary school is required prior to enrollment. Under special circumstances, the General Educational Development Test (GED) is accepted.

Special Exemptions: Transfer and Older Adult Students
  • Candidates who have successfully completed 24 or more semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) at a regionally accredited college or university are exempt from submitting high school transcripts and ACT or SAT scores.
  • Candidates who are 25 years of age or older are exempt from submitting ACT or SAT scores.

Newberry College does not charge additional fees for verifying student identity upon initial enrollment.  Students enrolled in courses which require proctored assessment may take those exams free of charge on the Newberry College campus.  Students taking a proctored assessment over the internet may be required to use a proctoring service such as ProctorU.  Fees for using these third party services are not included in regular tuition and are the responsibility of the student.
